SEG Student Chapter Geophysical Tech-Fest
On 21 February, students from the University of Oklahoma (OU), the University of Tulsa (TU), the University of Arkansas (UA), and Oklahoma State University (OSU) will gather at the Boone Pickens School of Geology, Noble Research Center at OSU for the Geophysical Tech-Fest.
The event, which runs from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, will feature the SEG Student Chapters from the four universities which are comprised of more than 15 nationalities. At the event, students will display their submitted posters, as well as abstracts on geophysical technical papers, geophysical algorithms, and geophysical case studies.
"The goal is to enhance the student learning experience by exposing them to the broader research," said Md. Iftekhar Alam, OSU Student Chapter President. "We expect that the students will exchange ideas that will help in improving the quality of research papers that come out of the respective departments. We also help to build communication among the SEG Student Chapters in the mid-continent region that will lead us to collaboration in different projects."
