Redundant Lifting Scheme (RLS)
Afshin earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics from the university of Tabriz. He then went on to obtain a Master's in Exploration Seismology from the IAU - Science & Research Branch, Tehran, Iran. In 2014, Afshin began pursuing a Ph.D. in Geology at Oklahoma State University. His research utilizes the redundant lifting scheme (RLS): a construction of the second generation wavelets without aliasing and phase distortion for processing and analyzing of geophysical data such as RLS-based multiscale full waveform inversion.
